Course Overview
The WSH (Operations of Cranes) Regulations stipulates that the “Supervise Safe Lifting Operations” course is aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge and skills to supervise the crane operator in the manoeuvre of a load safely to its destination.

Target Audience
The Supervise Safe Lifting Operations Course is suitable for aspiring and experienced individuals assigned as Lifting Supervisor in the workplace.
Entry Requirement
Learners must be above Be 21 years old and above:
- Have completed WSQ/ MOM Rigging and Signalman course or Marine Rigger and Signalman course
- Have relevant experience in lifting operations for at least 3 months [ supported by Company /Individual Application Letter to indicate periods of relevant experience in lifting operations]
And are assumed to:
- Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 4
- Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 4
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 4; and
- Be medically fit
Course Details:
Duration: 32 training hours + 3 assessment hours
Course Attendance Requires: 100% attendance

Methodology
Training: Classroom Lectures + Practical Demonstration & Practical Performance
Passing Criteria
Written Assessment – Section A – 65%, Section B – 100%
Practical Assessment 100%
Written Assessment Format:
Section A:
- Part A – Lifting Plan, 10 Questions of 2 marks each;
- Part B – Rigger and Signal tasks, 10 Questions of 1 mark each;
- Part C – Others,55 Questions of 1 mark each;
Section B:
- Load chart 5 Questions of 3 marks each.
Certification
A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued by SSG for those who have been assessed as Competent.
Safety Pass will also be issued
